Who does not know of Ossama Ben Laden? The Saudi Arabian considered stateless terrorist extremist who planned and orchestrated the September 11th 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and whose sole purpose of living was to drive out Western influence from the Muslim world. Bin Laden by his real name Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on the 10th March 1957. He was on the FBI’s list of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives and Most Wanted Terrorists for his involvement in the 1998 U.S embassy bombings.

Bin Laden’s father was a Saudi millionaire from Yemen and the founder of a very big construction company called Saudi Binladin Group while his mother was just a secular middle-class woman from Syria. In 1979 when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, Bin Laden joined the Afghan resistance believing it was his duty as a Muslim to fight the occupation. . After the Soviet withdrawal, bin Laden alongside Abdullah Azzam and several volunteers of the war formed a militant Sunni Islamist multi-national organization called al-Qaeda meaning in English “The Base” or “The Foundation” which carried out global strikes against Western interests, culminating in the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. On May 2, 2011, President Barack Obama announced that Bin Laden had been killed in a terrorist compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

The world breathed out a sigh of relief when they heard of Bin Laden’s death. The same feeling overtook them when President Trump confirmed just a few weeks ago that Hamza Ben Laden, who had been declared a world terrorist in 2017 and who was the heir to his father’s madness and leader of al-Qaeda had been taken down in Afghanistan. Thirty year old Ben Laden Jr. had been seeking to lead a resurgence of al-Qaida. Immigrants on iMiMatch couldn’t keep quiet as they joined the world to celebrate this victory.
